Job Description

We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to join a leading international environment, contributing to the maintenance, enhancement, and evolution of business-critical applications.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in COBOL and Mainframe technologies, combined with experience in UNIX/Linux environments and scripting, who are looking to work on large-scale systems within a collaborative and technically challenging environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support applications in a Mainframe environment.
  • Design, adapt, and deliver training sessions aligned with business and user requirements.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, user guides, training materials, and knowledge-sharing content.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement durable, effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and modernization of existing applications and processes.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure application performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
  • Promote best practices and knowledge transfer across teams.


Required Technical Skills

  • Experience with: COBOL, Mainframe, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Changeman, TSO, UNIX / Linux, Shell Scripting, Java 8+, Python, Groovy, Git, SonarQube, Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.


Desired Profile

  • Solid experience in COBOL development and support within Mainframe environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in production support and incident management environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
