Cloud FinOps Analyst
Tenarai - LATAM
Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to lead cost management and optimization across our
cloud and AI hosting footprint. You will bring financial discipline and data-driven insight to our
infrastructure investments, ensuring spend across providers such as AWS, GCP, OpenAI, and
Anthropic is transparent, well-governed, and aligned with business value.
Working at the intersection of engineering, finance, and leadership, you will build the visibility,
forecasting, and accountability practices that keep our hosting costs efficient as the business
scales.
Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end visibility into spend across cloud and AI providers (AWS, GCP, OpenAI,
Anthropic, etc.).
• Analyze usage and cost trends, identify optimization opportunities, and quantify realized
savings.
• Establish and maintain forecasting, budgeting, and variance-tracking processes for hosting
spend.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement cost-efficiency measures and validate the
business impact of infrastructure decisions.
• Deliver clear, actionable cost reporting and recommendations to leadership.
• Champion FinOps best practices and a culture of cost accountability across the organization.
Tech Stack
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP; AI providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic
• SQL for data and business analysis
• Cloud cost management and billing tooling (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, billing dashboards)
• BI and reporting tools for executive dashboards
Required Skills & Experience
• 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in cloud cost management, FinOps, or
business/data analysis.
• Proven, verifiable results in cloud cost optimization — e.g., delivered quantifiable savings,
improved forecast accuracy, or established FinOps practices that were adopted across an
organization.
• Solid grounding in Cloud FinOps principles, including cloud cost management and business
operations.
• Strong SQL and analytical skills, with experience in a data or business analyst capacity.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, services, and pricing models.
• Ability to translate complex cost data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior
stakeholders.
• Experience building and/or leveraging AI agents (e.g., agentic workflows, LLM-based
automation, AI-assisted engineering tools) to improve productivity and outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing spend on AI/LLM platforms.
What We Look For
• Strong sense of ownership — takes end-to-end responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
• Self-motivated and proactive; able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• A good team player who collaborates effectively across teams, geographies, and time zones.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable results in previous roles.
