Clinical Manager โ Residential Aged Care
An established residential aged care provider on the Coffs Coast is seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to join its senior leadership team.
This position will suit an experienced aged care leader who enjoys being visible across the home, supporting clinical teams and driving strong care, compliance and quality outcomes.
Working closely with the senior operational leader, you will help oversee clinical services, mentor nursing and care employees, manage clinical risks and ensure residents continue to receive safe, respectful and person-centred care.
The role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day clinical leadership across the residential aged care service
- Supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care
- Leading, mentoring and developing Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and care employees
- Monitoring clinical documentation, assessments and care-planning processes
- Supporting incident management, complaints, feedback and clinical investigations
- Reviewing clinical indicators and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Overseeing medication management, infection prevention and clinical governance processes
- Supporting audit, compliance and accreditation readiness
- Working collaboratively with residents, families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals
- Assisting with workforce performance, education and clinical competency
- Providing leadership coverage during periods of senior management leave
About you
You will be an experienced and approachable clinical leader with a strong understanding of residential aged care operations.
To be considered, you will require:
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Previous clinical leadership experience within residential aged care
- Experience as a Clinical Manager, Care Manager, Deputy Director of Nursing, Clinical Care Coordinator or senior Registered Nurse
- Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing clinical risk, incidents and continuous improvement
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills
- The ability to coach employees and promote accountability across clinical teams
- Excellent assessment, documentation and care-planning capabilities
- Current National Police Check and full Australian working rights
Previous experience supporting accreditation or regulatory assessment processes will be highly regarded.
