Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role that will see you partnering with key stakeholders across the business, delivering insightful financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.

About the role:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and assist with regular forecasting cycles.
• Monitor business performance and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage payroll-related accounting and statutory compliance.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and other statutory reporting obligations.
• Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial analysis and business support.
• Assist with external audits and year-end reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Support ad hoc projects and business improvement initiatives as required.

About You:

• Completed CA/CPA qualification
• Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant or similar finance role ideally within the mining or resources sector.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
