Job Description

VTEK is looking for a Lead Civil & Structural Engineer to drive major engineering projects across industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. As the technical authority for the discipline, you will lead structural design activities, coordinate across teams, and develop talent within a dedicated engineering group . Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead and reference for civil and structural engineering across all projects and within the team. Sign, approve, and seal designs in accordance with Quebec standards. Oversee and coordinate engineering activities, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Prepare and review plans, specifications, calculations, and technical drawings. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure technical compliance at every project stage. Resolve complex technical challenges and recommend effective, sustainable solutions.

Define discipline standards and practices, and ensure their consistent application across the team. Mentor, support, and develop engineers and technicians within the group. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.

Member of a provincial professional order (required). Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in structural design and project management. Proficiency in NBC, CSA, and ACI codes, as well as AutoCAD software.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to align a team around clear technical direction. Excellent communication and priority management abilities.
