Job Description
Cisco Asset Management Service is a personalized, consultative engagement that provides complete visibility of a customer's Cisco product installed base(IB) across their entire network. The service helps customers proactively manage their IB asset information so that they can effectively manage the life cycle of their Cisco assets and make the right business decisions to get maximum value out of their product investments and mitigate risks associated with uncovered, Last Date of Support (LDoS) and aging infrastructures. There are a number of reports, communications, planning and actions that needs to happen on a regular basis to fulfill Asset Management program objectives, The Asset Manager plays a pivotal role in leading delivery of IB consulting and advisory services to complex accounts, as well as supporting other team members to deliver high standards
The Cisco Asset Manager (CAM) role plays a key part in enabling Cisco recurring revenue business via providing clean, actionable, renewable IB data. Asset managers are expected to understand customer IB better than the customers themselves, thereby giving meaningful insights, reducing risk and providing operational excellence.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- Bachelor degree/Graduate or equivalent
- At least 4 years of overall customer engagement experience and 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Cisco products and services (desired)
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for handling the analytics behind the Customers inventory and helping form a strategy to optimize customer experience and Cisco relevance.
- Accountable to ensure that the customer IB is in the correct contract, location, and service coverage level
- Responsible for maintaining Customer’s software inventory metrics (Creation of IB Baseline, Licenses purchases and consumptions, Lifecycle Management, Compliance, etc.) on a regular basis.
- Compile consumption metrics utilizing telemetry data, purchased history information, and map hardware and software data for accurate reporting.
- Accountable for onboarding new customers, initiating documentation, completing business entity research, IB aggregation/reconciliation from disparate data sources and present IB Business insights to customers
- Learn customers' processes relating to Installed Base data management; recommend changes to improve Installed Base data management
- Identify discrepancies and execute processes for managing Move, Add Change, and Delete (MACD) activities
- Translate data into actional insight with distinct prescriptive guidance on how to optimize the business.
- Provide ongoing IB maintenance support to customers
- Standard and Ad hoc reports, standard reports to be completed on a pre-determined basis
- Monthly Business Review/Quarterly Business Review preparation for meetings with stakeholders and Customers
- Cross functional collaboration required to execute on tasks
- On an ongoing basis, analyze the Customer Asset Management processes and provide recommendations for improvements & optimization
Technical Skills:
- Computer literacy, including experience with email, chat, and Windows-based applications, including advanced MS Excel skills such as V-lookup, Pivot tables, and formulas, as required for the position.
- Database Program language/analyzing large dataset experience (preferred)
- Ability to effectively navigate multiple systems at once to accomplish a task.
