Circulating Nurse

Pay range: $70.00/hr - $75.00/hr Start Date: January 20, 2026 Shift: Day Shift | 5×8 hours (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to support a Level I Trauma Center in a high-volume surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong scrub and circulating experience , the ability to manage complex surgical cases, and flexibility to meet mandatory floating and on‑call requirements. Clinical Environment Practice Setting: General OR and Trauma Trauma Level: Level I (experience required) Charting System: Cerner (preferred) Scrub Color: Navy Blue (provided) Schedule & Staffing Requirements On-call requirement: One 12-hour weekend call shift per month (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) No weekday call Mandatory floating within scope to meet facility needs (up to 50 miles) Key Responsibilities Perform scrub and circulating duties for a wide range of surgical procedures Provide perioperative nursing care in trauma and general OR settings Prepare operating rooms, ensure sterile technique, and maintain surgical safety standards Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout procedures Accurately document intraoperative care using the electronic medical record Respond effectively to emergent and trauma cases Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE guidelines Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Required Qualifications Active Illinois RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR experience Strong scrub and circulating skills BLS certification (required) Required Surgical Experience Orthopedics and Orthopedic Trauma Vascular SurgeryUrology General Surgery Preferred Surgical Experience Neurosurgery (cranial and spine) Open Heart / Thoracic Surgery Ophthalmology ENT Bariatric Surgery Gynecology Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Health Care Provider #J-18808-Ljbffr
