Chief Accountant

OMODA Motors is a new brand built by Chery Group, a leading Chinese automobile company.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting for EU entities.
• Ensure compliance with Spanish GAAP, IFRS, and EU accounting standards.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage tax filings, declarations, and liaise with local tax authorities and auditors.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensure accurate reconciliations.
• Support treasury operations, cash flow management, and bank relationships.
• Assist in budget preparation, cost control, and financial analysis.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
• Provide timely financial insights and reports to management and HQ.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably with multinational corporations.
• Solid knowledge of Spanish GAAP, IFRS, and EU financial regulations.
• Proven experience in tax compliance and financial audits.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel).
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Catalan and Chinese are a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced international environment.
