OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader to join our Theatres at Phase 3 Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.
We are currently looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and friendly person to join our dynamic, fast paced Acute Theatre Suite with a keen interest particularly in Orthopaedic Trauma.
We offer wide and varied surgical specialties that include Robotic Surgery, Maxillo Facial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology & Paediatrics, covering Elective and Emergency procedures in all of the afore mentioned specialities.
You will have theatre experience at senior band 5 level or above and be able to demonstrate on‑going professional development.
You should possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team, while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service which will include shift & weekend work as required, with flexibility to work over all sites in Fife.

There is a robust induction program which is supported by our Clinical Education Team.
Theatres can be an intense fast paced environment with a team working ethos being at the heart of the services we provide. If you enjoy a challenge and would like to join this busy friendly unit, then this may be the post for you.
The post holder will provide professional and clinical support to the SCN and will have delegated responsibility for planning and implementing patient centred care, and for ensuring the standards of care are implemented within the operating theatre department.
QualificationsApplicants must hold First Level Registration with either NMC or HCPC and possess a right to work in the United Kingdom.
Applicants should be educated to degree level or working towards or have an equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
