Change Analyst
Digital Native - Digital & Technology Recruitment
Job Description
This is a genuine opportunity to embed yourself in a high-profile data transformation program at one of Queensland's energy organisations. Working on a large data project is a significant initiative reshaping how data, reporting and analytics are delivered across the business - and this Change Analyst role sits right at the heart of it.
You'll be the critical link between technical delivery teams and the business users who depend on the data and reporting tools being changed. That means translating complex technical changes into language that resonates with diverse stakeholder groups, and making sure people are prepared, supported and ready to adopt new ways of working before go-live.
Working alongside a Change Manager, Project Managers and technical specialists, you'll operate at a work package level - moving across the project lifecycle and making a tangible difference to how change lands across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Translating technical data and reporting changes (including Power BI impacts) into clear, business-facing impact assessments
- Identifying and analysing impacted stakeholder groups, including effects on reports, data access, processes, roles and decision-making
- Facilitating discovery and validation workshops to surface risks and define appropriate change interventions
- Coordinating communications and training plans for diverse user groups, working in partnership with BAU teams for training delivery
- Maintaining business-facing SharePoint content and producing visual artefacts such as heat maps and impact models
- Assessing business readiness across the data conversion lifecycle, including post-conversion support
- Monitoring adoption, identifying issues early and ensuring the right support mechanisms are in place
What You'll Need (Essential)
- Demonstrated experience as a Change Analyst on business or data transformation programs in large, complex organisations
- Proven ability to translate technical changes into clear business impacts across users, processes, reporting and decision-making
- Strong stakeholder identification and impact assessment skills, with experience facilitating workshops
- Hands‑on experience coordinating change activities at a work package level, including communications and engagement delivery
- Ability to assess business readiness, identify adoption risks and support users through training and change interventions
- Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Organised, proactive and collaborative - comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting data, reporting or analytics transformations, particularly involving Power BI (e.g. report migration or rationalisation)
- Familiarity with SharePoint for business-facing communications
- Experience developing visual change artefacts such as heat maps or impact models
- Background in training needs analysis and supporting BAU‑led training delivery
- Understanding of data lifecycle, governance or enterprise data environments
- Experience working in regulated industries such as utilities or energy
