Certified Payroll Administrator
Location: Concord, CA
Job Type: Full-Time - On Site
Pay: $26.00โ$33.00 per hour, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Administrator to join our team in Concord, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing certified payroll for public works projects and a solid understanding of California prevailing wage requirements.

Responsibilities
- Process and maintain weekly certified payroll reports (CPRs) for multiple public works projects in accordance with California prevailing wage requirements.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll through DIR, eMars, LCP Tracker, and customer third-party systems, as required.
- Review payroll records for compliance with prevailing wage requirements, including proper wage classifications, fringe benefits, overtime, and apprentice ratios.
- Track certified payroll submissions and ensure weekly reports are submitted accurately and on time.
- Identify and resolve certified payroll issues and ensure corrections are submitted promptly.
- Coordinate with subcontractors regarding certified payroll submissions and follow up on missing or incorrect documentation.
- Maintain organized certified payroll and labor compliance records.
- Assist with collecting and tracking required subcontractor compliance documents, including executed subcontracts, insurance certificates, and other required documentation.
- Prepare and send progress and final payment waivers to subcontractors and vendors as needed.
- Communicate with internal departments, subcontractors, vendors, and customers regarding payroll and compliance requirements.
- Assist with additional payroll and accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preparing certified payroll reports is required.
- Hands-on experience with California DIR reporting and prevailing wage projects.
- Experience with eMars and/or LCP Tracker preferred.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista is a plus.
- Strong understanding of California prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements.
- Working knowledge of union payroll preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet strict weekly deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
