Job Description
We are seeking a Product Category Manager to help drive the next generation of performance products in the automotive and power sports aftermarket. This role is responsible for identifying new product opportunities, developing category strategies, and working closely with Product Development and Engineering to bring high performance products to market. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the performance aftermarket , understands enthusiast driven markets, and can translate market insights into successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities Category Strategy & Growth Develop and execute category growth strategies to expand revenue/market share. Identify new product opportunities using market research, competitive analysis, and vehicle platform trends. Build and manage product roadmaps aligned with company growth objectives.
Lead new product ideation and translate market needs into product concepts and requirements. Serve as the voice of the customer during the product development process. Partner closely with engineering to ensure products deliver meaningful performance and differentiation.
Monitor trends in the automotive and powersports performance aftermarket. Analyze competitor products, pricing, and positioning. Evaluate vehicle platforms and VIO data to prioritize product opportunities.
Product Launch & Lifecycle Management Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop go to market strategies. Define product positioning, features, and value propositions. Monitor category performance and adjust strategies to drive growth.
Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field. 5+ years of experience in product management, category management, or product development within the automotive or powersports aftermarket . Strong knowledge of performance aftermarket products and enthusiast markets. Proven ability to identify opportunities and drive new product introductions.
Strong analytical and cross functional collaboration skills. Preferred Experience working with product development stage gate processes. Familiarity with vehicle fitment data and aftermarket distribution channels.
