About the Role
One of our banking clients is looking for a Commercial Banking: Cash Management Sales Officer - Assistant Vice President to drive revenue growth across banking products by acquiring new business clients and expanding relationships with existing clients.
The role involves working closely with Product and Technical teams to bridge client needs with product capabilities and drive market adoption and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Actively call on clients in partnership with Relationship Managers to deepen relationships, proactively owning, responding to and anticipating future needs, challenges or risks, while identifying and pursuing new clients aligned with the organisation's value proposition.
Bring product expertise, complex solutioning, multi-product and multi-deal capabilities to address client requirements on the Transaction Banking front.
Perform in-depth SOW analysis for clients in the portfolio to identify convertible opportunities where the organisation can deepen and increase share of wallet.
Work with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients’ individual needs.
Develop deep client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and first-in-mind recall for clients.
Network with clients to identify avenues for new business opportunities.
Drive sales for funded and non-funded trade products, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and Import/Export finance.
Structure transactions for clients to provide benefits to the clientele being managed.
Drive cash management solutions including host-to-host integrations, API integrations, knowledge of APIs, payments/collections solutions, reconciliation of account receivables, payment gateway, NACH, payment aggregator solutioning across domestic/cross-border transactions and Cash Pooling solutions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies/guidelines at all times.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, with particular consideration for the organisation's reputation and the safeguarding of the organisation, its clients and assets.
Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to policies, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of experience, with experience in managing the intermediary strategy for law firms / FEMA engagements / Transaction Banking Sales business.
Experience working in Corporate/Commercial Banking covering clients above $50MM to $3BN of turnover.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting with a go-getter mindset.
Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, including negotiation, consultative skills and leadership.
Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions.
Highly focused, with the ability to rapidly identify key priorities and clearly communicate priorities.
Proactive approach to strengthening business relationships with clients and delivering a simple, secure and seamless client experience.
Passion for creating new business opportunities with existing clients and ability to demonstrate innovative approaches to meeting clients’ needs.
Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience delivered to clients.
Ability to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights.
Education
Postgraduate (MBA/CA) from a reputable institute.
Bachelor’s/University degree; master’s degree preferred.
