Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide locum services in an outpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery setting in Pasadena, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for an NP with cardiothoracic or cardiac surgery experience looking for full-time coverage starting January 26, 2026. Job Details: Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Outpatient Setting: Surgical Clinic (no inpatient or OR cases) Schedule: Full-time, 4x10-hour shifts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00 AM 5:00 PM No call required Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential to extend or convert to perm) Start Date: January 26, 2026 Responsibilities: Support 3 cardiac surgeons with pre- and post-op patient care Perform wound care and suturing (minor procedures only) 60% administrative tasks, 40% clinical care Manage patient evaluations and follow-ups in an outpatient setting Requirements: Active California NP license (required) DEA (required) Certifications: BLS Minimum 2 years experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related specialty Epic EMR experience required Strong skills in pre/post-op evaluations and minor clinical procedures Credentialing: Estimated timeframe: days (expedited possible) Completion of facility-specific forms and verifications required Interview with department leadership Why Join Us?
