Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum + Superannuation

About the Role
We are seeking a Butcher to join our team. Reporting to the Director/Production
Manager, you will be responsible for the full range of butchery operations - from
receiving and storing meat deliveries through to preparation, display, and customer
service.
Key Duties
Receive, inspect, and store meat deliveries, ensuring correct handling and
hygiene
Transfer meat stock to designated cold storage areas in accordance with food
safety requirements
Utilise meat cutting equipment to execute precise cuts to specification
Cut, trim, and bone meat with accuracy and efficiency
Separate, weigh, wrap, and attractively display meat cuts for retail sale
Prepare and season processed meat cuts for sausage and small goods
production
Marinate, season, and prepare crumbed meat items
Provide customers with product knowledge, cooking suggestions, and
attentive service
Contribute to product planning and suggest diverse meat options
Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment and equipment
Skills & Qualifications Required
Certificate IV in Meat Processing; or Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail
Butcher) with two years of on-the-job training; or a minimum of three years of
experience in the meat processing industry
Minimum one year of recent work experience as a Butcher
Strong food safety awareness and adherence to hygiene protocols
Excellent practical butchery skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial
awareness
Proficiency in mental arithmetic and meticulous attention to detail
Comprehensive knowledge of various meat products and cuts
Adequate physical strength and stamina for the demands of the role
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build rapport
Creative flair for meat presentation and retail display
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
