Position Summary Business Support Manager (2 positions) – Short-term (approximately 1 year) / Full-Time or Short-term (approximately 2 years) / Full-Time. Location: Burnaby, BC. Job ID: 6881.

Responsibilities Establish and maintain close relationships with managers and teams within the assigned business area(s) to provide expert advice and support in managing and improving business processes and systems. Determine business requirements, conduct feasibility and impact analyses of information‑management services and technology, and ensure that processes, services, and technology solutions are developed and delivered to meet business and service‑delivery needs. Provide research, analysis, data stewardship, reporting, and project‑management expertise to accomplish the role’s objectives.

Support BC Housing’s core systems as well as additional smaller systems and databases as part of the Business Support Manager team. Candidate Profile The successful candidate will have the following: Degree in accounting, economics, computing science, business administration, social science, or a related discipline. Considerable experience in business analysis (requirements and solutions design), process modelling, and business reporting design and development.

Considerable experience in reporting systems design, development, testing, implementation, and data management including analysis and modelling. Considerable project‑management experience as a project manager following a standard project life‑cycle, including process mapping and re‑engineering projects with data and reporting analysis. Sound experience training adult learners in a workplace environment.

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the Employer. Required enhanced security screening (financial inquiry). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good knowledge of the application of business systems and databases within an organization.

Ability to learn and develop significant knowledge of critical corporate business system applications and databases. Strong understanding of the core and additional systems used by the organization. Ability to plan and manage small to medium‑sized projects or portions of larger projects, provide direction to project team members and implement system solutions.

Capability to manage and guide technical services for end users. Strong ownership and drive to see tasks completed. Capability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.

Capability to identify and promote opportunities to improve existing systems and procedures. Ability to translate technical terms into everyday language. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑management skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and conceptual thinking skills.

Strong planning, organization, time‑management and project leadership/management skills.
