Job Description

AZOROM has an ongoing contract with ESB and wishes to fill this present position.

This role will support Electric Ireland’s Business Pricing team across all areas of business pricing for electricity and gas. The role will involve working on pricing for small, medium and large business customers, including tariffs, fixed price products and bespoke customer offers.

The successful candidate will help analyse pricing inputs, maintain and improve pricing models, support product and tariff changes, and work with stakeholders across Customer Solutions to deliver accurate, competitive and customer-focused pricing solutions.

This role is suited to someone with strong analytical skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work at pace in a busy commercial environment. Energy market experience, strong Excel skills and experience working with pricing models would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills who can work effectively with key stakeholders to support accurate electricity and gas customer pricing. The successful candidate will:

  • Support electricity and gas pricing activity for business customers, including tariff reviews, bespoke pricing and fixed price products.
  • Analyse pricing inputs, market data, competitor offers and forecast assumptions to support accurate and competitive pricing decisions.
  • Maintain and improve pricing models, tools and systems, working with IT and other teams where changes are required.
  • Work with stakeholders across Business Markets, Forecasting, Reporting and Customer Solutions to support pricing changes, business cases and product development.
  • Keep tariff books, pricing reports and dashboards up to date, ensuring information is accurate, clear and useful for decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, reduce complexity and support more efficient ways of working.
  • Provide prices for Large Energy Users monthly billing.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience in modelling, VBA and Power BI reporting.
  • Good understanding of pricing inputs, systems and data, and how these support price development.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and manage work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of tariff pricing inputs.
  • Understanding of the wholesale energy and retail markets

Qualifications

Relevant degree desirable but not essential - experience in above would be more a requirement.

Base Location

Electric Ireland’s offices, Swift Square, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9, D09 X8PT.

The successful candidate may combine remote working with attendance at base for in‑person collaboration, the frequency of which will be agreed with the manager and subject to ongoing review.
