The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable making independent decisions. You’ll play an important role in improving processes, resolving operational challenges, and enabling leadership to remain focused on strategic priorities rather than routine operational matters.
Company Description
Our client is a growing business looking to strengthen its operational capabilities and build efficient, scalable ways of working. The company values ownership, clear communication, practical problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
As the business continues to develop, they are looking for a capable Business Operations Manager who can bring structure to day-to-day operations, coordinate multiple functions, and ensure internal teams and external partners have what they need to perform effectively. Experience within healthcare is preferred, while candidates who have worked in fast-moving SMEs or startup environments will be particularly well suited to the role.
About The Role
We are looking for a Business Operations Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business and ensure teams, systems, and processes run efficiently.
You will have responsibility across operations, HR administration, vendors, procurement, finance administration, technology support coordination, and projects. A key part of the role will be identifying and resolving operational issues independently, improving workflows and SOPs, and reducing the need for senior leadership to be involved in routine decisions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively across different areas of a business, and finding practical ways to make operations more efficient.
Responsibilities - What you’ll be doing:
- Manage daily business operations and coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams.

- Manage external vendors and coordinate procurement, technology support, and other operational requirements.
- Monitor operational expenses, payments, subscriptions, and other ongoing business costs.
- Coordinate multiple projects and ensure deliverables are completed according to agreed timelines.
- Review and improve SOPs, workflows, and operational processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues independently, escalating only critical matters to leadership.
- Prepare clear and concise weekly operational updates for leadership.
- Monitor operational performance against key measures, including efficiency, hiring turnaround times, payroll and vendor payment accuracy, project delivery, and cost improvements.
- Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs and improve processes across the organisation.
- Build processes and ways of working that reduce leadership involvement in routine operational decisions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including technology support and procurement, to ensure operational requirements are addressed effectively.
- Maintain accurate operational information and reporting using Excel and Google Workspace.
- Support additional operational initiatives and projects as business priorities evolve.
Requirements - What we’re looking for:
We think the right candidate will tick most of the following boxes:
- 0–3+ years of experience in business operations, operations management, business management, or a similar role.
- Experience working within an SME or startup environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to resolve operational issues independently.
- Experience managing or coordinating teams, vendors, and multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with payments, payroll coordination, operational costs, and project timelines.
- Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for day-to-day business operations.
- Ability to identify inefficient processes and implement practical improvements.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace, including Google Docs and Google Calendar.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, vendors, and leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different business functions while independently owning operational responsibilities.
- Educational background from a Tier 1 institution in India, with IIM or ISB preferred.
Preferred Skills - Nice to Have:
- Previous experience working within the healthcare industry.
- Experience improving SOPs, workflows, or internal business processes.
- Previous exposure to recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, or HR administration.
- Experience managing procurement, technology support, facilities, or external service providers.
- Experience monitoring business expenses, payments, subscriptions, or operational budgets.
- Experience working in a fast-moving startup or growing SME where priorities can change quickly.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Google Workspace tools.
