Job Description
Business Manager - Aerospace Repair Operations Los Alamitos, CA This role is required to be on‑site (no remote option at this time). Competitive compensation: 20% bonus, 20% long‑term incentive/Equity, and 401(k) match. We are seeking a Business Manager to lead an aerospace bearing repair facility with full responsibility for driving business performance across sales, operations, engineering, finance, supply chain, human resources, and quality.
Responsibilities Own and execute the annual business plan with a strong focus on aerospace bearing and non‑bearing repair growth initiatives. Develop and lead global sales strategy, optimizing internal sales channels and building a highly effective, customer‑focused sales organization. Lead day‑to‑day operations across production, scheduling, inventory, quality, safety, and cost management, driving performance against established targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, quality, and overall plant performance. Maintain full P&L ownership, including working‑capital management, accounts receivable, SG&A, and budgeting processes. Ensure compliance with all government regulations (including SOX and environmental), quality certifications (FAA, ISO 9001), and company policies and ethics standards.
Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing leadership team through coaching, goal setting, and performance management. Establish succession planning and talent development strategies to strengthen organizational capability and leadership pipeline. Partner cross‑functionally with Customer Service, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution of business objectives.
Lead customer engagement efforts, including key account relationships, trade shows, and executive‑level interactions to drive growth and customer satisfaction. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees while reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree highly preferred. 10+ years of experience within Aerospace Aftermarket / Repair & Overhaul (MRO) environments (Military, General Aviation, or Commercial). 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams within manufacturing or operations environments.
Proven experience with full P&L ownership and driving business strategy in a manufacturing or aerospace setting. Background in operations leadership, manufacturing strategy, product development, and/or sales and marketing. Strong negotiation skills and experience with value‑based selling methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at the executive level. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead effectively across all levels of an organization.
