Job Description Job Description BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE LOCATION: DENVER, COLORADO SALARY: $65K-$70K PLUS COMMISSION FTE Overview: Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities and initiating relationships with potential clients. BDRs play a key role in the sales process by identifying leads, qualifying prospects, and scheduling meetings or demos for the sales team. The position is critical in building the sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities Research and identify potential clients using various sources such as social media, online databases, and company directories. Generate new leads through cold calling, emailing, networking, and social media outreach. Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects.
Engage with inbound leads to assess their needs and qualify them as potential business opportunities. - Ask pertinent questions to determine the client’s pain points, budget, and decision-making process. - Set up meetings or calls between qualified prospects and account executives or senior salespeople. - Record all sales activity, lead interactions, and follow-up tasks in CRM software. - Track progress and update records to reflect current lead status. - Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product offerings. - Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), such as the number of calls made, emails sent, and appointments scheduled. - Consistently work toward monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation. Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred). Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sales Skills: Basic understanding of sales processes, especially in prospecting and lead generation. Technical Skills: Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated.
Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams. Curiosity and Research Skills: Willingness to learn about the client’s business and industry trends.

Locations & Territory Details Denver Area: Territories divided into north, southeast, and southwest, split by I-70 and I-25 Two offices in Denver Highest hiring priority — only one BDR currently in the region Candidate Location Preference: Ideally, BDRs live in the territory they are supporting Superstar candidates slightly outside the target area can still be considered Company Growth & Role Context Started with 5 territories in 2021, now 16 territories Company is growing rapidly; need help driving more accounts Role is highly “hunter” focused — primarily finding and signing new business Long-term sales processes do not typically transfer well Sales cycle: typically 2–3 touch points Role Responsibilities Not an account management role — focus is finding new business, signing accounts, and moving on Selling the service, not the product: Team will visit clients monthly to service their first-aid kits Emphasizes client compliance and employee benefit (e.g., first aid supplies available on-site) CRM translation: likely Dynamics, similar functionality Industries & Experience that Translate: Outside sales and territory sales experience transfer easily Titles like Account Manager can be considered if resume aligns with role Focus on B2B, short-cycle sales Not looking for SaaS or software sales experience Aggressively seeking uniform sales and new systems experience (e.g., Cintas, UniFirst, EcoLab) Candidate Profile / Ideal Traits Quick thinkers who overcome objections effectively without causing negative reactions Intelligent, professional communicators Background in debate or persuasive argumentation is a plus Must be highly motivated and “hunter” oriented Company Description GTN is the leader in SOW management & technical staffing, leveraging innovation to drive next-generation recruiting to Fortune 200 companies.
