Business Development Manager

Overview

In this role you drive growth for DHL Supply Chain's transport and contract logistics solutions. You will build relationships with senior decision-makers, identify opportunities, and tailor propositions with cross-functional teams. You’ll manage RFQs, map stakeholders, and nurture a pipeline of new business while upholding a customer-for-life ethos.

• Develop relationships within target accounts in the Transport function to access decision-makers
• Continuously review business potentials and identify sales opportunities
• Proactively identify opportunities within target accounts and respond to RFQs, mapping stakeholders
• Research customer supply chain requirements and objectives
• Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities while sustaining long-term partnerships
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to craft compelling customer propositions
• Contribute to strategic sales opportunities and meet growth targets

• Proven experience in Transport Solutions sales and/or 3PL contract logistics
• Understanding of transport networks and customer-facing experience in transport operations
• Experience with bid and tender sales lifecycles and driving deals
• Sales experience in transport logistics delivering medium to large size opportunities
• Strong negotiation and communication skills across all levels
• Results-oriented with ability to deliver sales targets and drive growth
