Job Description
We're working with an established FMCG business to recruit a Business Development Manager to take ownership of the Irish market and drive growth across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
This is a hands‑on commercial role for a bright, ambitious salesperson who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and winning new business.
You'll work across a broad customer base, from independent retailers and wholesalers through to major grocery groups, selling a diverse portfolio of established consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop customers across Ireland, with a focus on increasing distribution and sales.
- Build relationships with key retailers, buyers, wholesalers and independent stores.
- Win new business and develop existing accounts.
- Call on retailers, understand their requirements and secure orders.
- Work with major grocery groups including Musgrave, Dunnes and Tesco, alongside independent retailers and other channels.
- Identify opportunities to increase brand visibility, distribution and revenue.
- Use sales data and market insight to identify new opportunities.
- Help develop the company's online and digital customer proposition.
- Work closely with the wider commercial and operational teams.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to generate new business.
About You
We're looking for someone with some B2B sales experience who is commercially driven, personable and hungry to make an impact.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in sales, business development or account management.
- Confidence building relationships with customers at all levels.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisation and territory management.
- An interest in FMCG, retail and consumer brands.
- The drive to build something and take real ownership of a market.
