The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Business Development Executive to join a growing sales team and help expand the company's presence across the Republic of Ireland while supporting existing customers throughout Northern Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a successful career in technical sales. You'll work with an established manufacturer, developing relationships with new and existing customers while receiving the support needed to grow your knowledge of the products and industry.
The role combines new business development with customer relationship management, offering plenty of autonomy, variety, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across the Republic of Ireland.
- Build relationships with developers, contractors, architects, merchants, and trade professionals.
- Prospect new customers through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Account Management
- Support and develop existing customer accounts across Northern Ireland.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to identify future opportunities and ensure excellent service.
- Carry out customer visits and site meetings where required.
Sales Support
- Assist customers in selecting the most suitable window, door, and fire-rated door solutions.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on sales enquiries.
- Support projects from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring a positive customer experience.
CRM & Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system.
- Track opportunities, quotations, and sales forecasts.
- Provide regular updates on business development activity.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal departments, including production and customer service, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Represent the business at trade exhibitions, networking events, and customer demonstrations.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing commercial role.
- Experience within construction, manufacturing, building products, or a related industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a desire to win new business.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full, clean driving licence with the flexibility to travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including occasional overnight stays.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of the joinery, windows and doors, or wider construction industry.
- Experience working with developers, contractors, or trade customers.
- An understanding of fire door products or building regulations would be beneficial.
