Role: Business Development Executive 

Location: Orwell, Cambridgeshire 

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Hybrid, depending on location)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) 

 

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an ambitious and driven Business Development Executive to join our clients organisation, supporting the continued development of new business across their industry.

Duties of a Business Development Executive:

  • Researching care groups and identifying new business opportunities within the care sector.

  • Contacting clients to introduce the company's products and services.

  • Proactively identifying and developing new leads into potential business opportunities.

  • Managing the full sales process from initial introduction and needs analysis through to demonstrations, trials and successful sale closure.

  • Preparing successful new business opportunities for a smooth handover to the Account Management team.

  • Using the CRM system effectively to add leads and contacts and accurately record all communications and activity.

  • Organising and booking product demonstrations and trials to generate new sales and revenue.

  • Supporting the effective management of Product Specialists' diaries.

  • Promoting clinical training and educational opportunities to care homes and care groups.

  • Working towards agreed KPIs, including key conversations, appointments booked, leads generated and contribution to new business revenue.

  • Acting as an ambassador for the company and consistently promoting a positive and professional brand image.

What we would like from you:

  • Previous experience of new business sales, Business development or Product sales.

  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team while also working independently.

  • Ability to work well under pressure within a busy environment.

  • A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative when faced with challenging situations.

  • Strong drive, self-motivation and accountability.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.

  • A-level qualification or equivalent would be desirable but is not essential.

  • Relevant product or industry knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
