This position is responsible for supporting the broader operation of the Client Services and Marketing teams at NuEnergen. This group is responsible for the business development, marketing and account management at the firm. The role will include, at the discretion of senior management: direct prospecting, lead generation, outreach, and follow-up on business opportunities for both NuEnergen.
Individuals in this role may also take on responsibilities relating to account management and CRM support functions. This position will jointly report to NuEnergenâs Vice Preident of Sales and Marketing and Senior Vice President, Client Services.
The role will involve daily engagement with prospects, partners, and existing clients; in-person and via phone, email, and video call. It requires an individual who is a self-starter, with strong communication skills who is capable of operating independently and effectively on stipulated objectives. Working hours will primarily be spent in NuEnergenâs White Plains office with some occasional field time managing existing client relationships, attending tradeshows, and further pursuing opportunities with the intention of increasing company wallet share.
Individuals in this role will be expected to understand and speak cogently on all NuEnergen service lines, and work with all levels of NuEnergen employees to include operations and executive leadership in support of business objectives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, HubSpot, and Box cloud sharing software will be necessary, as is the ability to professionally represent our firm to external parties.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identification and qualification of new prospects through the use of NuEnergenâs lead generation tools and direct outreach to develop initial interest in NuEnergenâs services. Following qualification, the successful transition of these leads to NuEnergenâs Client Services Managers (CSM) or sales leadership for further action.
- Delivery against sales KPIs and quotas as established by NuEnergenâs VP, Sales & Marketing.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline via HubSpot to meet established targets, to include weekly reporting and updates with respect to activities and progression of opportunities.
- As needed, and under the purview of NuEnergenâs Senior Vice President, Client Services, take primary responsibility for a sale or management of an existing relationship by way of:;
- Composition and delivery of regular business review and meetings
- Ongoing account management for any assigned clients
- Expansion of services for existing clients
- Composition of proposals and/or services contracts
- The role will also be responsible for future, to-be-determined tasks to support the general client services, business development, sales, and marketing functions to complement NuEnergenâs overall business strategy. These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist and coordinate with marketing personnel on marketing campaigns
- Development and follow up of lead lists within NuEnergenâs CRM
- Attendance of industry tradeshows and/or business events
- Support of Operations personnel during emergency grid events
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation development and delivery skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and CRM tools
- Ability to work effectively with operations and customer management personnel
- Ability to deliver against sales KPIs and comfort with cold outreach
- Customer focused; strong sense of urgency regarding addressing customer related issues.
- Energy market industry experience preferred, but not required
- Sales experience preferred, but not required
- Bachelorâs degree from accredited school required, recent graduates welcome
As this is an entry-level sales role, previous experience is not a requirement, but preference will be given to candidates with previous experience, training, or education in energy markets and sales.
Candidates should be located within commuter distance from NuEnergenâs office in White Plains, NY. This role is expected to be in the office five days per week, with the exception of field and travel time
Compensation
- Total On-Target compensation is $80,000-$90,000 per year inclusive of:
- Base Pay of $55,000-$65,000/year, commensurate with experience, paid monthly
- Uncapped commissions plan with incentives for new business and existing accounts paid quarterly
- Company profit sharing (target is 10% of base pay)
