About the role

\n

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Product team in Munich and help bring the next generation of SmartGate to life. You will work at the intersection of customers, Product, and Engineering, turning complex business and data challenges into clear, valuable product outcomes.

\n

This role suits someone who can move confidently between domain conversations, data and integration topics, product discovery, and delivery detail.

\n

What you'll do:

\n

\n
• Explore customer needs, business processes, data journeys, and operational pain points.
\n
• Translate product ideas and business needs into user journeys, requirements, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
\n
• Work closely with Engineering on data models, APIs, integrations, dependencies, and edge cases.
\n
• Facilitate discovery sessions and use process maps, wireframes, and prototypes to turn ideas into tangible solutions.
\n
• Support functional testing and UAT, helping ensure releases deliver real value to users.
\n
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success from discovery through rollout and continuous improvement.
\n
• Use AI-assisted tools thoughtfully to accelerate analysis, documentation, prototyping, and quality checks.
\n

What we're looking for:

\n

\n
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Functional Consultant, or in a similar role in SaaS or data-driven products.
\n
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make complex business and data processes understandable.
\n
• Practical understanding of data workflows, APIs, integrations, data quality, and system dependencies.
\n
• Experience with user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and backlog refinement.
\n
• Hands-on experience with functional testing and UAT.
\n
• Fluent English and a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
\n
• Based in Munich or willing to relocate, with flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.
\n

Nice to have:

• Experience in investment management, real estate, FinTech, data platforms, or related B2B workflows.
\n
• Familiarity with Figma, Miro, Balsamiq, Jira, or Confluence.
\n
• German or another European language.
\n
