We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to support a range of initiatives with work focused on early discovery and scoping activities for technology projects, including:
- Data centre decommissioning
- SharePoint migration projects
- Working with technical stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and project outcomes
With an initial 3-month contract and a strong likelihood of extension through to the end of 2026, this role offers the chance to make a lasting impact across a significant technology transformation program.
What you'll be doing
As the Technical Business Analyst, you'll work closely with technical teams, project managers, vendors and business stakeholders to establish project scope and define the path forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading discovery activities and facilitating requirements gathering workshops
- Defining and documenting business and technical requirements
- Supporting the initial scoping of data centre decommissioning activities
- Working across SharePoint migration projects, capturing business needs and migration requirements
- Mapping current and future state processes
- Producing high-quality documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps and user stories
- Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Supporting solution design discussions and ensuring business requirements are translated into practical technical outcomes
- Working collaboratively across multiple project streams to support successful delivery
About you
You'll be a confident and proactive Technical Business Analyst who enjoys working in infrastructure and technology-focused projects.
Youโll bring:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within complex technology environments
- Experience working on infrastructure, cloud, migration or technology transformation projects
- Strong requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation and documentation skills
- The ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience scoping projects and defining business and technical requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work across multiple initiatives
Experience within Local Government or other large, complex organisations will be well regarded but is not essential.
