This is a recruitment pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Successful applicants will be appointed to a centralised Business Analyst pool and may be deployed across a range of strategic Health Support Services and WA Health initiatives, including major digital transformation, clinical reform, ICT, infrastructure, and organisational change programs, based on organisational priorities.

Your new role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person for the role of Business Analyst.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic initiatives by identifying business needs, analysing complex problems and recommending innovative, evidence-based solutions.

You will work collaboratively across multiple projects and business areas, and collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects deliver measurable business value and align with organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities across the full project lifecycle.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand strategic and operational business needs.
  • Elicit, analyse, document and validate business, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyse current business processes and develop future-state processes that improve efficiency, effectiveness and service delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder consultations to support decision-making and build consensus.
  • Develop high-quality business analysis artefacts including business requirements, process maps, business cases, options analyses and functional specifications.
  • Analyse data and information to support evidence-based recommendations and business decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Program Managers, technical teams and business representatives to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
  • Support solution design, implementation, business readiness, organisational change, transition planning and benefits realisation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices, methodologies and governance.

We Are Looking For

We are seeking Business Analysts with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:

  • Delivering business analysis within complex projects, programs or portfolios.
  • Large-scale organisational transformation, reform or strategic initiatives.
  • Digital, ICT, data, analytics or information management projects.
  • Business process improvement, service redesign and operational excellence.
  • Requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and validation.
  • Stakeholder engagement, facilitation and relationship management across diverse business groups.
  • Developing business cases, process models, functional specifications and other business analysis deliverables.
  • Supporting project and program delivery using recognised business analysis and project management methodologies.

Experience within health, government or other large and complex organisations will be highly regarded.
