Business Analyst

Job Descriptioneir business talent are currently seeking applicants for a SeniorBusiness Analyst.This is a day rate contractorposition located with our client in Dublin city centre. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite per week. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of business and technology transformation initiatives within a public sector environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical teams to understand business needs, document requirements, improve processes, and support the successful delivery of organisational change. This role requires a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills, experience working across multiple teams, and a proven ability to bridge the gap between business and technology. Key Responsibilities Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.

Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to understand business challenges and objectives. Analyse datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and enhance management reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.

Support data quality initiatives, data mapping, and data governance activities. Produce high-quality business requirements, user stories, process maps, and functional specifications. Analyse and document current and future state business processes.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies. Work closely with project managers, solution architects, developers, and testing teams throughout the project lifecycle. Support solution design activities and ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.

Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and issue resolution. Support change management activities, stakeholder communications, and user training. Contribute to project governance, reporting, and documentation.

Required Experience 10+ years' experience working as a Business Analyst on business or technology projects. Experience working within the public sector, semi-state, government, healthcare, education, or other regulated environments. Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.

Proven ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and end users. Experience facilitating workshops and managing conflicting priorities. Knowledge of project delivery methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong data analysis and reporting experience.
