Care Australia
Job Description

The Opportunity
CARE Australia supports women and girls around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. As part of CARE International, we work in partnership with local communities to create a world of hope, inclusion and dignity.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of CARE Australia, partnering with the CEO, CFO and Executive team on high-impact projects that shape how we respond to opportunities, solve complex challenges and strengthen our impact.
No two weeks will look the same. You'll move across strategic and financial analysis, opportunity assessment, process improvement and executive-ready papers - bringing structure, clarity and momentum to work that matters.
What you'll do:
As our Business Analyst, you will:
- Get close to the big questions by providing structured analysis and problem-solving on strategic and special projects led by the CEO, CFO and Executive team.
- Turn complex problems into clear options by diagnosing organisational challenges, researching trends and developing practical solutions.
- Help teams work smarter by documenting, standardising and simplifying processes across CARE Australia.
- Create polished briefings, presentations and analytical papers that support confident decision-making by senior leaders and the Board.
- Build trusted relationships across departments and country offices, gathering insight, testing ideas and ensuring recommendations reflect operational reality.
Why work with us?
You'll join a purpose-driven organisation where your analysis can influence real decisions, your initiative is valued and your work contributes to better outcomes for women and girls globally. We offer a range of benefits including:
- Generous base salary including 17.5% annual leave loading
- NFP salary packaging benefits (up to $15,899 tax free)
- Health and Wellbeing program
- A flexible and supportive working environment including working from home options
- Additional leave and substitution of public holidays
- Employee Assistance Program
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you are curious, commercially minded and comfortable working with ambiguity. You will bring:
- Strong strategic and analytical capability, with the ability to cut through complexity, interrogate evidence and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Experience producing high-quality analysis, presentations and written papers that influence senior decision-makers.
- A proactive, self-directed style, strong attention to detail and the confidence to progress work with limited supervision.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage deadlines and keep work moving.
- Strong relationship-building skills, sound judgement and the maturity to work across a diverse organisation while handling sensitive information with discretion.
CARE Australia is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and encourage applications from people living with a disability and/or have lived experience of disability.
