Business Administrator / HR Administrator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a global energy trading and investment business in the City of London. This is a varied temporary role supporting a growing London office of 30 people, with a mix of business administration, HR administration and office coordination, working closely with colleagues in London and the Singapore HQ.

  • Rate: £20–£23 per hour
  • Contract: Temporary with the potential to become permanent
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office / 2 days from home

The Role

This is a busy, hands‑on role where you'll support the day-to‑day running of the London office while also providing HR administration across the business. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and wants exposure to both business support and HR within an international organisation.

Responsibilities

  • General business and HR administration.
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintaining employee records and HR documentation.
  • Managing expenses and invoice administration.
  • Coordinating travel, meetings and diaries where required.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and office events.
  • Office coordination, suppliers and facilities administration.
  • Providing ad hoc support across different teams and projects.

About You

  • Previous HR administration, business administration, Team Assistant or office support experience.
  • An interest in HR and people‑related administration, with the opportunity to gain further exposure in the role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence building relationships across the business.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • A hands‑on approach and willingness to get stuck in wherever needed.
