Home Tonic is a boutique interior design studio and curated home décor shop in the heart of Newtown, PA. We specialize in layered, timeless interiors and offer a carefully curated mix of vintage finds, custom furnishings, artwork, lighting, gifts, and home accessories. We’re looking for someone who is organized, personable, proactive, and excited to become an integral part of our small business.

This is more than a retail position. You’ll be the welcoming face of the shop, help create an inspiring shopping experience, manage inventory, and play an important role in growing our online store while supporting our interior design business.

Position Details

• Part-time (approximately 20-25 hours per week)
• Four to fives days per week
• Located in Newtown, PA

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and assist customers in the shop with warmth and enthusiasm.
• Build relationships with customers and provide thoughtful product recommendations.
• Process sales using Square POS.
• Receive, price, tag, and merchandise new inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory management.
• Help keep the shop clean, organized, and beautifully presented each day.
• Photograph, write descriptions for, and add new merchandise to our online shop.
• Process, package, and ship online orders promptly and accurately.
• Restock merchandise and maintain an organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Open and close the shop.
• Respond to customer inquiries and schedule design consultations when appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to introduce customers to our interior design services.
• Assist with seasonal merchandising, special events, and in-store promotions.

We’re Looking For Someone Who...

• Loves home décor, antiques and visual merchandising.
• Has previous retail or customer service experience (management experience is a plus).
• Is highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Enjoys styling merchandise both in-store and online.
• Has an eye for photography, presentation, and writing product descriptions.
• Is comfortable using computers and learning e-commerce platforms such as Square.
• Is dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Can lift and move boxes and furniture (up to approximately 40 pounds).
