As the business continues to scale, they’re looking to bring in a proactive and hands‑on Senior Bookkeeper/Manager who can truly make their mark - leading the team, shaping processes, driving workflow efficiency, and playing a key role in onboarding and supporting a growing client base. The Role As Bookkeeping Manager, you will: Lead, coach and mentor a growing bookkeeping team Manage workflow and ensure smooth delivery across the client portfolio Oversee onboarding of new clients and maintain strong working relationships Support and develop junior team members Bring structure, organisation and a proactive approach to day‑to‑day operations Person Specification A UK accountancy‑practice background is essential Strong experience in bookkeeping, management accounts and client communication Proven ability to coach, mentor and manage a team Confident managing workflow, deadlines and client expectations Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero) Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Experience onboarding new clients and improving internal processes Exposure to training or developing junior staff Experience working with a varied portfolio of SME clients Knowledge of payroll or VAT processes Please note: VISA sponsorship is not available for this role Why This Role Stands Out This practice genuinely lives its people‑first values, offering a working environment that is both supportive and ambitious.
