Job Description – BMC Helix ITSM / DWP / Discovery Engineer Role: BMC Helix ITSM / DWP / Discovery Engineer Experience: 5 – 8 Years Location: PAN India Budget: Open / Can be discussed for suitable candidates Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced BMC Helix ITSM / Digital Workplace (DWP) / Discovery Engineer with strong expertise in BMC Helix platform administration, integrations, CMDB engineering, and workflow automation. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex platform issues, designing integrations, and supporting enterprise ITSM environments. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate deep expertise in BMC Helix ITSM, Digital Workplace (DWP), and Discovery suite functionalities, including customization and extensibility.

Debug and resolve complex issues such as data corruption, performance degradation, failed reconciliation jobs, and integration failures. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues. Work extensively on CMDB engineering concepts including normalization, reconciliation, and best practices.

Build, customize, and optimize service catalogue entries and workflows within Digital Workplace Service Catalogue. Develop automated approval workflows and service request processes aligned with business requirements and operational reliability. Design and support REST API-based integrations with identity management systems, monitoring tools, and third-party platforms.

Support integrations between BMC Discovery and Helix CMDB to enrich and maintain CI data accuracy. Implement automated discovery data feeds and infrastructure synchronization pipelines into CMDB. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency between discovered assets and CMDB records.

Plan and execute Helix platform upgrades and patching activities including regression testing, rollback planning, and production readiness validation. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience in BMC Helix ITSM Suite Expertise in Digital Workplace (DWP) and Discovery Good understanding of CMDB architecture and reconciliation processes Experience with REST APIs and integration concepts Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills Knowledge of ITSM processes and service catalog management Experience in workflow automation and approval process implementation Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
