Should be open for Onsite Opportunity Tokyo, Japan Language Requirements: Business-level Japanese and English required For more details reach out to Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale automotive platform modernization and migration program for a major Japanese OEM. The role will act as the primary interface between the customer, executive stakeholders, and globally distributed delivery teams across Japan, India, Europe, Vietnam, and the United States, including 3rd party.

The project includes complex system integration activities and migration of millions of connected vehicles from a legacy platform to a next-generation platform. This role requires a strong combination of: Enterprise-scale project management Automotive technical understanding Executive communication capability Risk and issue management Customer relationship management Cross-country and Cross-cultural coordination The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically credible, and capable of managing difficult discussions while maintaining strong customer trust and alignment. Location: Greater Tokyo Area Key Responsibilities Customer & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary day-to-day interface with the customer project team and management Build strong trusted relationships with OEM stakeholders, including technical managers and executive.

Lead customer discussions regarding: o Project scope o Risks and mitigation plans o Issue management o Schedule and milestone tracking o Technical integration topics Maintain alignment on responsibilities, actions, dependencies, and delivery expectations Manage sensitive discussions professionally while preserving long-term customer relationships Project Management & Delivery Governance Lead end-to-end project management activities for a large-scale automotive connected services program Manage complex multi-stream delivery coordination across global teams Required Qualifications Technical Skills Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and system integration Familiarity with automotive connected services, telematics, IoT, or mobility platforms Ability to discuss technical issues confidently with engineering teams and customer technical management Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Project Management Skills Ability to communicate with both Japanese OEM stakeholders and global delivery teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in automotive OEM projects Experience with connected vehicle platforms Experience managing large-scale migration programs Experience working with Japanese automotive companies Technical background in software engineering or systems integration
