Barista

Happier Grocery is looking for an energetic, hospitality-driven Barista to join our café team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in great coffee, thoughtful service, and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. Our Baristas are an essential part of bringing the Happier experience to life each day.

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, coffee, tea, matcha, and other café beverages according to Happier Grocery recipes and standards.
• Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable hospitality to every guest.
• Maintain consistency in drink quality, presentation, portioning, and speed of service.
• Develop a strong understanding of our coffee, beverage ingredients, and café offerings in order to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout the shift.
• Complete opening, closing, and daily side-work responsibilities.
• Monitor product levels and communicate restocking or inventory needs to supervisors.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, allergen, and health department standards.
• Accurately process guest transactions and operate the POS system when required.
• Work collaboratively with fellow baristas, café leadership, and the broader Happier Grocery team.
• Support a fast-paced service environment while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Help ensure the café and surrounding guest areas remain clean, welcoming, and representative of the Happier Grocery brand.
• Participate in ongoing product, hospitality, and operational training.
• Assist with additional café and store responsibilities as needed.
