Backend Engineer

Our client, an AI-focused organization impacting the legal sector, is hiring a Backend Engineer to join the team remotely. The successful candidate will be integral in shaping the future of the legal industry, while expanding their skills and contributing to innovative, cutting-edge projects. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with product and customer-facing teams to enhance product features and lead projects.

Write clean, well-structured and well-documented code that ensures compatibility across major browsers. Become a subject matter expert in the company’s backend architecture, optimizing platform performance on Azure and AWS while prioritizing security, privacy and accessibility. Explore new software capabilities and offer innovative solutions to address product challenges.

Work effectively with engineering, product, sales and customer success teams in a collaborative, positive environment. As the team grows, take on leadership duties and mentor additional engineers. Skillset Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.

At least 3 years of experience coding in Python. Minimum of 3 years of experience developing services on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. Familiarity with File/Blob storage systems and NoSQL databases.

Proven experience in managing complex projects. Strong proficiency in writing regular expressions. Excellent product sense and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience working with Agile methodologies and product management tools. Benefits Salary: $100k Equity.
