Job Summary Shriram General Insurance is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power web and mobile applications.

The role involves building scalable systems, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain server-side applications and services. Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend architecture.

Manage and optimize databases for performance and scalability. Collaborate with frontend developers and other teams to integrate user-facing elements. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Ensure application security, data protection, and system reliability. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend-related issues. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, PHP, or similar. Experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Spring Boot, Express.js, or Laravel.

Strong knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Understanding of server management, deployment, and performance optimization. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of caching mechanisms like Redis or Memcached. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
