Role: - Associate Business Analyst (Automation Tester)
Location: - Sydney
6 months Full-Time Contract Role

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of business-critical applications. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA Analysts, and Product Owners in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks to support functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Manage and track test cases, defects, user stories, and test execution using JIRA.
- Create and maintain test strategies, test plans, test evidence, and knowledge-sharing documentation in Confluence.
- Use GitHub for source code management, version control, branching strategies, code reviews, and pull request management.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable automated test execution and quality gates.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to improve productivity in test script development, test case creation, code reviews, defect analysis, documentation, and test automation framework enhancements.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and provide recommendations for process and quality improvements.
- Ensure automation standards, coding best practices, and test coverage objectives are consistently met.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation efficiency through AI-assisted testing capabilities and modern testing practices.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Java programming.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience using GitHub for code repository management.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA for test and defect management.
- Experience using Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
- Good understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and Defect Lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills
- Cucumber BDD
- TestNG or JUnit
- REST API testing (Postman/Rest Assured)
- SQL and database validation
- Maven/Gradle
- Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
