Job Description Carrier Power Plant Mechanical (CPM) engineers provide expert technical support to the United States Navy during ship construction, operations, and all the way through to decommissioning. CPM engineers support the NIMITZ and Ford Class carrier platforms and help ensure maximum fleet readiness, operational capability, and safety through development and delivery of high-quality technical products, solutions to emergent fleet issues, and proactive development of propulsion plant system improvements.

CPM is seeking highly motivated engineers and scientists to support this mission and experience the fast-paced work of fleet support. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
