Associate Site Activation Manager

Summary: The Associate Global Site Activation Manager (SAM) in the GSL team at IQVIA serves as the project manager for the start‑up phase, leading the design and implementation of the site activation strategy from award through to enrollment. The SAM oversees country operations teams, ensuring client commitments are delivered on time and within scope, and represents the site activation team to internal project members and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑award and large defense meetings, providing start‑up expertise for project strategy.
• Develop site activation delivery strategy upon award, including activation projections for diverse countries, site identification, regulatory and contract timelines.
• Oversee execution of the global site activation strategy, delivering sites on agreed timetable, within budget and scope, and proactively addressing risks.
• Communicate with clients, project team members, and local regulatory specialists on study site status, activation projections, risks, and opportunities.
• Represent the country site activation operations team to internal project members, clinical leads, regulatory and contract advisors, and country regulatory specialists.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Life sciences or a related field.
• 5–7 years of global experience in a clinical research environment.
• Strong leadership competencies to lead projects and multi‑cultural teams.
• Project ownership, controlling delivery on time, within scope, and controlling budget.
• Experience managing multiple projects or clients while balancing competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, including negotiation and challenging decisions.
• Ability to work through others to deliver results to the required quality and timeline metrics on complex projects.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and sponsors.
