UToledo Health and the University of Toledo College of Medicine andLife Sciences has a faculty position opening for a OBGYN - GYNSubspecialist in the Department of OBGYN.

Join our team at the University of Toledo Medical Center andProMedica Toledo Hospital. Our institution features a medicalschool hospital with a fully accredited OBGYN residency program,active robotic program, gender health seed grant, is currently hometo approximately 20 active residents.

The Department of OBGYN boasts a well-established Level 4 Maternaland Level 3 Neonatal Childbirth unit and Gyn practice in additionto other Gyn subspecialties. This position offers a unique blend ofclinical practice, teaching, opportunities for leadershipdevelopment and growth in a supportive and dynamic environment withpotential opportunity for resident/student education leadership.The primary practice location is situated within a largeacademically affiliated hospital system with options for academicleadership in teaching, such as residency program administration orclerkship administration, as well as involvement in researchinitiatives. Additionally, there are plans for co-recruitment toform a robust specialty group that includes additional MIGS and/orURPS subspecialists.

Position offers leadership opportunities such as Clerkship Directoror Residency Director.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive consultative care to a large localpopulation of GYN patients
  • Call structuring through already existing OBGYN hospitalistgroup and residency program
  • Primary practice site within affiliated institution, althoughsupport of a small OBGYN presence (outpatient clinic) at anon-OBGYN inpatient medical school hospital an option and eventualplan after additional recruitment
  • Potential option (if desired) for income augmentation viainpatient OBGYN hospitalist program

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD/DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecologyand MIGS or URPS
  • Subspecialties in any of the following:
  • Experience in an academic setting and a strong interest inteaching and mentorship is a plus
  • Current and unrestricted licensure in the State of Ohiorequired, prior to beginning the position.
  • Experience in working as a team of healthcare professionals andcollaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patientexperiences with our organization.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonalskills.
