UToledo Health and the University of Toledo College of Medicine andLife Sciences has a faculty position opening for a OBGYN Physicianin the Department of OBGYN.
The faculty member will join our growing team at the University ofToledo Medical Center and ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Ourinstitution features a medical school hospital with a fullyaccredited OBGYN residency program, currently home to approximately20 active residents. The department boasts a well-established Level4 Maternal and Level 3 Neonatal Childbirth unit.
This positionoffers a unique blend of clinical practice, teaching, opportunitiesfor leadership development and growth in a supportive and dynamicenvironment with additional potential opportunity forresident/student education leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to adiverse patient population within our Level IV maternal/Level IIIneonatal childbirth unit.
- Participate in an inpatient hospitalist model while alsoengaging in outpatient teaching and care.
- Primary responsibilities, representing approximately 90% ofyour effort will be to provide clinical services in your specialtyof obstetrics and gynecology at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
- Occasionally provide backup support in GYN to the University ofToledo Medical Center
Minimum Qualifications
- MD/DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics andGynecology
- Experience in an academic setting and a strong interest inteaching and mentorship is a plus
- Current and unrestricted licensure in the State of Ohiorequired, prior to beginning the position.
- Experience in working as a team of healthcare professionals andcollaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patientexperiences with our organization.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonalskills.
