We are seeking an excellent academic to join the staff of our vibrant, collegial, research-driven Department as an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Psychology. The appointee will be expected to make a strong contribution to teaching core areas of Psychology, and specialist topics (depending on background and expertise), on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Department and University, including the BSc General Nursing and BSc Sports Science and Health, where required. The appointee will also be expected to supervise research interns and students and to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance, and generate publications of international standard.
We are especially interested in receiving applications from candidates whose research profiles align well with existing strengths in the department in the broad application of psychology for human health and wellbeing, in line with the University’s strategic commitment to research in this area. The appointees are expected to lead research that aligns with the University’s Health and Wellbeing research beacon: Health and Wellbeing | Maynooth University.
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
