Assistant Director of Nursing

Working closely with the Director of Nursing, you'll play a central role in the home's clinical leadership, supporting the team in delivering exceptional person-centred care to every resident. The Role Support the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the home Lead, mentor and supervise the nursing and care team, promoting best practice at every level Deputise for the Director of Nursing and act as Person in Charge in their absence Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards and all relevant regulations Oversee care planning, medication management and clinical documentation Support audits, quality improvement initiatives and resident safety Build strong relationships with residents, families and the wider multidisciplinary team What You'll Need Current NMBI registration (RGN) A minimum of 3 years' experience nursing older persons within the last 6 years Proven leadership or management experience in a nursing home or similar setting A post-registration management qualification, or willingness to undertake one Strong working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements Excellent communication, organisation and people skills A genuine commitment to person-centred care What's On Offer Competitive salary reflecting your experience Permanent, full-time senior leadership post Supportive Director of Nursing and management team A well-run, well-resourced home with a strong reputation locally The chance to work in a beautiful part of the Southeast, away from city traffic and commutes Please Note Applicants must be fully eligible to work in Ireland at the time of application.
