Job Description
CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER S O1 (SCP 25 - 27) £36,363 - £38,220 Attractive employer pension contribution 1 x Temporary, 37 Hours per week (for up to one year)
Location: Based at Antrim Civic Centre but may be required to work from any Council site within the Borough
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Assist the Capital Development Managers for the effective management and delivery of allocated capital projects in accordance with the Department's project management procedures and in compliance with applicable statutory obligations and requirements. Maintain professional knowledge within project management and make recommendations for improvements as and when required. Support the Capital Development Managers and Officers providing a computer aided design service to assist and support the delivery of capital, minor works, and refurbishment projects.

Recruitment Process:
The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 7 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. (A copy of the Competency framework is attached for information) A reserve list will be created for this post for a 12 month period and if this post becomes available either part time, full time, temporary or permanent within 12 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.
