Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Perform month-end reconciliations across various general ledger accounts
  • Review, reconcile and correct payment allocations
  • Process and manage layer invoices and retention reporting
  • Review and follow up outstanding COD and WIP items
  • Assist with month-end journals and reportingProvide accounting support and guidance to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff
  • Assist with preparation of new staff contracts and onboarding documentation
  • Perform monthly payroll reconciliation
  • Lodge payroll tax and ensure compliance with state requirements
  • FBT preparations
  • Review and follow up stock variances
  • Attend once a month stock take on Saturday morning

About you

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
  • Sound understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards qualification
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
