Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Perform month-end reconciliations across various general ledger accounts
- Review, reconcile and correct payment allocations
- Process and manage layer invoices and retention reporting
- Review and follow up outstanding COD and WIP items
- Assist with month-end journals and reportingProvide accounting support and guidance to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff
- Assist with preparation of new staff contracts and onboarding documentation
- Perform monthly payroll reconciliation
- Lodge payroll tax and ensure compliance with state requirements
- FBT preparations
- Review and follow up stock variances
- Attend once a month stock take on Saturday morning
About you
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
- Sound understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
- CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards qualification
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
