Job Description
Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Assistance Available. Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Southeastern United States region as a Cardiac Sonographer. This full-time day position involves performing comprehensive cardiac sonography and diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient documentation and departmental records. Key Responsibilities Conduct cardiac sonography, electrocardiography, and treadmill stress tests following established guidelines. Perform diagnostic procedures and assess patient cardiac conditions to provide appropriate recommendations.
Operate and maintain monitoring equipment and manage scheduling and paperwork for the department. Charge for services using the BCX system and assist with other duties as assigned. Education and Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent required.
BCLS certification by the American Heart Association. Credentialed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Cardiac Sonography. Experience Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac sonography.
Additional cardiac diagnostic experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of medical terminology and cardiopulmonary modalities. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations while interacting with patients, coworkers, and visitors.
Familiarity with psychosocial, physiological, and spiritual needs across all age groups to provide compassionate care. Physical and Mental Requirements Moderate physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs, approximately 30% of the time. Work environment with adequate lighting and ventilation.
Requires concentration and attention to detail for more than 65% of the time.
