Application Support Specialist - Cloud

🚀 We're Hiring: Application Production Support (Cloud)

Lisbon | Hybrid | Candidates must hold a valid Portuguese residence permit or a valid work visa for Portugal.

act digital is looking for a Senior Application Production Support professional to join a reference project in the banking sector.

You'll be part of an application support team, responsible for handling incidents, service requests, and support activities, working in shifts and on-call rotations. You'll also play an active role in service improvement initiatives and support the bank's DR/Live Play activities. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of core banking operations, solid troubleshooting skills, and experience with L1/L2 support in a banking environment, with expertise in Linux, PL/SQL, Dynatrace, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments
• Work on containerization of legacy applications
• Assist and train other Ops profiles on Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes
• Provisioning, Configuration, Deployment, and Disaster Recovery

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux platform and CLI
• PL/SQL and Dynatrace
• Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python and/or Bash preferred)
• Good understanding of Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Travis, Concourse, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform)
• Solid experience with public cloud environments (IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure)

Languages

• English – B2/C1

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations or Software Engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with a cloud provider (IBM/AWS/Azure/Google)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible/Docker
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294)
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Developing Advanced Automation with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (DO374)
• Optional: HashiCorp Certified – Terraform Associate (003)
• Optional: HashiCorp Certified – Vault Associate (002)
